M1045e Series Instruments
The M1045e Series Instrument technology is a pressure change leak testing instrument with compact construction, programmable pressure regulator, and high (24-bit) resolution instrumentation accommodating a wide range of part volumes.
The leak test pressure transducer is connected to the test part. When this circuit is filled with air and isolated from the supply, any leak results in a pressure change relative to atmospheric pressure. The leak test transducer output provides a measurement of the pressure change proportional to the leak rate.

FAQs
M1045e Series Instruments leak detection systems are ideal for applications requiring high-resolution pressure decay testing across a wide range of part volumes. These systems are commonly used for automotive components, industrial assemblies, fluid reservoirs, and sealed products where precise leak rate measurement is critical.
M1045e Series Instruments utilize pressure decay leak testing by pressurizing a test part, isolating it from the air supply, and monitoring pressure changes over time. Any pressure loss measured by the high-resolution transducer indicates a leak and helps quantify leak rate performance.
High-resolution measurement allows M1045e Series Instruments leak detection systems to identify extremely small pressure changes that may indicate product defects. This improves quality control and helps manufacturers achieve tighter leak rate specifications.
Programmable pressure regulators improve test repeatability by automatically controlling test pressures for different products and production requirements. This capability helps M1045e Series Instruments support multiple leak testing applications within a single manufacturing environment.
Pressure decay leak testing is often preferred when testing rigid sealed components with stable volumes and when manufacturers require a cost-effective method for detecting leaks without directly measuring flow rates.
