IP 67/68 Testing

Battery cases, sealed wearables, housings electrical housings, AV sensor enclosures and similar highly sensitive components must be protected from damage by water ingression. IP 67/68 testing assures that a part can be exposed to water at 1 meter/ 1.5 meter depth for up to 30 minutes without damage to the electronics inside the enclosure.

IP 67/68 test system design has to assure that stringently accurate test results are consistently measured with the required smallest possible Gage R&R. At the same time, variability in parts handling and positioning for testing cannot be a variable impacting testing reliability.

Less than optimal ergonomic designs of test fixtures is not only a problem for human operators, but also undermines Gage R&R by making consistent physical handling of parts difficult.
